Auburn Household Hazardous Waste event
October 12 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
The City of Auburn Environmental Services Department hosts two Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days in the spring and fall. Their next dates are scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2024, and Saturday, March 29, 2025 (tentatively), from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Environmental Services Complex located at 4277 Wire Rd Suite 100. River Mill Data Management will provide secure, onsite shredding and from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
These free events give Auburn residents the opportunity to drop off hazardous materials that are illegal to dispose of during weekly garbage collection. They will also accept paper documents for secure, on-site shredding as well as computers/electronics for recycling.
On the day of the event, participants should load the materials they wish to drop off in the trunk or rear of their vehicle. Participants should enter the Environmental Services Complex via Wire Road and follow the signage.
Residents may bring up to 20 pounds of material per household for disposal. Participation is limited to Auburn residents. Proof of residency can be shown by bringing a recent water bill.
