Sarah Randolph, Program Coordinator

A Birmingham native, Sarah joins AEC with a diverse background in the nonprofit and private sectors, including over fifteen years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, event planning and production, and development. She spent four years as Outreach & Communications Director at Alabama Audubon, one of Alabama’s oldest conservation nonprofits, educating Alabamians about birds and the natural world by leading bird walks, organizing talks by experts reaching local and national audiences, managing adult courses in person and online, serving on National Audubon Society’s LGBTQIA+ Affinity Group, and more. Sarah also followed her dream in 2023 and opened a consignment store rEVOLVEr resale with a mission of sustainability providing a resource for Birmingham to shop secondhand locally and upcycle their used goods and clothing as well as provide a space for local artists. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from UAB in Communication Management with a minor in Marketing. In addition to being an artist, she is a dedicated environmentalist who has spent her adult life volunteering and educating others about sustainability and our impact on the planet, with a mission to “be the change we wish to see in the world.” Sarah will be focused on AEC’s existing initiatives including the EAT Restaurant Sustainability program, as well as assisting Roald Hazelhoff, our Education Advisor, with educational programming from the Alabama Resilience Center and Birmingham Urban Watershed STEMM Initiative
