Mr. Anthony Jones is an environmentalist whose commitment to preserving the planet is deeply rooted in his upbringing in New Mexico. Surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of the high desert, Anthony developed a profound respect for nature from an early age. He believes that humans are not separate from the environment but rather an integral part of it, a perspective that fuels his passion for teaching and implementing methods that respect the power and impact of our environment.  

Throughout his life, Anthony has been troubled by litter and pollution, advocating for clean, more ecological practices. His dedication led him to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, focusing on Environmental Communication, from The University of New Mexico in 2020. He is particularly passionate about keeping waterways free from plastic pollution, understanding the far-reaching impacts of this issue on our oceans and ecosystems. Through his appointment to the board, Anthony will work to inspire others to recognize their responsibility in caring for the environment in a holistic and natural way. Lastly, influenced by Carl Sagan’s insight that our pale blue dot is but a mere speck in the universe, Anthony enjoys stargazing to remember the interconnectedness of our world.
