Jessica is co-founder and CEO of Neowaste, an advanced recycling company that converts mixed, contaminated plastic waste into hydrocarbon fuels using a molecular reformation process. Prior to founding Neowaste, she served as executive vice president for a multinational waste-to-energy company developing projects to convert municipal solid waste into biofuels in more than 40 international markets.

Jessica is a past Board Chair for both Ruffner Mountain and Birmingham Sister Cities, and she serves on boards for the Krulak Detachment of the Marine Corps League and Daughters of the American Revolution. She is also a proud member of Leadership Birmingham’s Class of 2020 and has volunteered as a youth entrepreneur mentor for Operation Hope and as a mentor for the Birmingham Business Journal’s annual Bizwomen Mentoring Monday program.

In 2012, Jessica was recognized for the International Deal of the Year at the Alabama International Business Awards. In 2014, she was appointed to the World Bio Markets Advisory Council in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Also in 2014, she was named one of Birmingham’s Top Ten Motivating Women of the Year by the Birmingham International Center and was named Young Professional of the Year by the Birmingham Business Alliance. In 2015, her work with Masada was recognized by the Alabama Department of Commerce with the Governor’s Trade Excellence Award.

In 2018, Jessica launched Neowaste, and shortly after, won the seed stage round of the Alabama Launchpad pitch competition. She was then invited to join the Southern Research Prosperity Fund and secured a second-place finish in the TransTech Energy Pitch Competition in Pittsburg, PA. The following year, she was a top ten finalist in the PRIO Energy Jump Start International Pitch Competition in Portugal and a finalist in the Repsol International Entrepreneurs Fund Accelerator in Spain. In 2021, she was selected to participate in the National SBIR Accelerator through Project Enginuity and was sponsored by General Motors for an executive education program at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
